Growing Production

Mavuno Harvest is growing!  The more we grow our business, the more money and economic development we share with our supplier partners.

2015 has been a great year for Mavuno Harvest as our products are now sold in Whole Foods Market, The Fresh Market, and many wonderful independent natural and health food stores.  Starting in September, our fruit will also be available in the bulk bins at select Whole Foods Markets.  We're also in the process of launching an exclusive sized bag for Thrive Market.

All of these growing sales have lead us to invest in the supply chain and development of our supplier partners.  Not only are farmers gaining a reliable and sustainable market for their fruit, they are also receiving a fair trade premium which is used to invest in socially oriented community projects like health centers and libraries.  Plus, the added production is leading to more jobs in the form of purchasing agents, extension service personnel, and production staff.

Below are some pictures of a brand new drying oven which we just purchased and installed in Uganda.  Capitalism on a mission and sustainable development.  It's really exciting to see this dream working!
