Organic dried banana bread
Here's a recipe for delicious and healthy Banana Bread using Mavuno Harvest Organic Dried Banana:
Banana Bread: Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup Mavuno Harvest Organic Dried Banana, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and beat until well combined.
- Add the mashed bananas to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped Mavuno Harvest Organic Dried Banana and chopped walnuts (if using).
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
- Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan and transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
